Good News Club Prayer Requests February 23, 2010
Monday:
Training Classes – Klamath Falls @ Immanuel Baptist — 10:00 a.m.
Praise for those who are able to attend the Teacher Training class — it’s a blessing, both to be there and to see the others who faithfully come. Praise the Lord that Rae is well and able to be back; also praise Him that Mona is able to help with the teaching.
Teaching Children Effectively 1 – Klamath Falls @ Immanuel Baptist – 1:00 pm -3:00 pm This week’s lesson was on how to present and teach the memory verse.
IYS Youth Center — Kathy Hampson — 3:30 p.m. Pray for the Lord to draw more children.
Tuesday:
Merrill Elementary – Gordon & Terry Aguiar – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Pray for Manuel, Desaray, and Juan, for their salvation. Praise and prayers for Jose’, who prayed to receive Jesus, that his faith might grow and that he might go to church regularly.
Sandi Masterson’s Home — Sandi Masterson — 4:00-5:30 pm Pray that the children will be faithful to attend club, and will grow spiritually. Pray for Sandi’s health and finances.
Stearns Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m. Praise the Lord that one young lady, Jasmine, is interested in attending the one-day CYIA training this year, and please pray for another young lady, Sharise (Reesy) as we talk to her about possibly also attending the same training. It is good to see young people growing in the Lord and desiring to serve Him. Pray for spiritual growth for all the children and salvation for their families.
Wednesday:
Bonanza Elementary – Laney Boersma – 11:15-Noon Pray that Laney is safely back from her trip! Pray for spiritual growth for all the children. They are practicing the Wordless Book so that they can share the Gospel with others.
Malin Elementary – Rae Arnold – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Pray for health of the children and helpers; for spiritual growth of the children and helpers. Also please pray about possibly splitting the younger children and the older ones into two clubs next year – would need another teacher.
Marion Lidyoff’s Home – Sandi Masterson – 4:00-5:30 p.m. This is a new club just starting up, in the Mills area. Please pray that children would come, that they would be saved and grow spiritually. Marion requests prayer for her spiritual welfare; finances; health issues; and strength.
Mills Elementary — Kathy Hampson – 2:00 p.m.
Praise that Kathy has been able to take over for Brent and Alice while they deal with family matters (and please keep them in prayer, too).
Thursday:
Bly (Gearhart) – Mona Boggs – 11:30-12:15 p.m. Mona has been encouraging the children to share the Wordless Book with friends and family; please pray that they will have the courage to do this and that the Holy Spirit would give fruit! Pray for spiritual growth for the children. Pray for Anna, that she’d be able to go to the CYIA One-Day training. And please pray for more teachers.
Chiloquin Elementary – Sandi Masterson – 3:00 p.m. Pray for spiritual growth in the children, and for salvation for their families.
Fairview Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m.
Praise the Lord for children who are enthusiastic about hearing God’s Word, and for evidence that their families are teaching them God’s Word at home, as well! Pray for spiritual growth for the children.
Lakeview Elementary (Fremont/Hay) – Cora Johnson & Renee Hathaway – 2:30 p.m. Praise for new helpers at Lakeview, Candi and her sister! Keep Cora in prayer, as she will be driving to Lakeview this Thursday – pray for safe travel for her. Pray for Renee and her family.
Sprague River – Gale Willis, Mike Perdue, Lee Dickerson – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Pray for Drew, who just received Jesus as Savior, that he would desire to grow in the Lord. Pray for Daniel and his family. Pray for peace in the children’s hearts; for salvation for the parents; and please pray for good health for everyone.
Friday:
Keno Elementary – Doug Hallock – 3:15 p.m. Praise God for 25 kids who have made Keno GNC a regular part of their week (a total of 42 children are enrolled), and for parents who encourage them in that! Pray that we leaders would love them well, and that we’d teach God’s word well, and that we’d continue to have a gracious welcome with the Keno Elementary staff.
