December 14 Prayer Requests

Monday: If you are interested in attending the Teaching Children Effectively class (begins in late January, and will be held on Monday afternoons) please let Cora know soon. This is a college credit class, good for CEU’s and also transferable to some colleges. It is *very* worthwhile for anyone who works with children.
Please keep Cora in prayer for her health.
Training Classes – Klamath Falls @ Immanuel Baptist — 10:00 a.m.
Praise for our teachers, who put in a lot of preparation time and do an excellent job (Rae, Cora, and Terry especially!). — Keep praying for teachers to prioritize coming to training class; praise for those who were there today.
Tuesday:
Merrill Elementary – Gordon & Terry Aguiar – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Praise for each child that is trusting Christ for salvation and learning to trust and bond with us as well. Pray for Desaray to soften her heart to the message of salvation. Pray for the daughter of Mrs. Guthrie (a helper at the club), that God would heal broken back and that she would yield her life to the Lord.
Stearns Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m. Praise that God has provided a new helper, Malea — praise for her heart to serve the Lord! Pray for genuine commitment to the Lord from the children; also pray that their families would come to know Jesus Christ as Savior.
Wednesday:
Bonanza Elementary – Laney Boersma – 11:15-Noon Pray for little Daniel, who needs to be loved on.
Malin Elementary – Rae Arnold – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Rae has two little girls in her class, sisters Alexa and Taryn, who love the Lord. Rae called their parents to praise their girls and found that the parents don’t know the Lord! Please pray for them. Also pray for Zac, whose family is divorcing.
Mills Elementary (K-3) Brent & Alice Carey – 2:00 p.m.
Praise: The behavior issues are getting better. And praise that we still have about nine children attending.
Prayers: For continuing revelation of the Gospel to the children. That they will continue to be calmer, and for wisdom to deal with situations, as they may arise. That the sickness going around would stop.
Mills Elementary (4-6) Kathy Hampson – 2:00 p.m.
Pray for encouragement, perseverance, and protection against the attacks of the enemy.
Thursday:
Bly (Gearhart) – Mona Boggs – 11:30-12:15 p.m. Praise that two of her students have turned in their Devotions books; both boys answered thoughtfully. I believe they worked on them together, yet each answered them their own way. It was wonderful — it took two hours to correct/check over these books! When I think about how long it must have taken them to do it, I am blessed!
Chiloquin Elementary – Melodie Simms & Gale Willis – 3:00 p.m.
Pray for the families — for salvation and peace; knowing the security of trusting in the Lord! Pray for more children to join in the Good News Club.
Fairview Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m.
Please pray that all the children signed up would be at club. Praise that the children are listening and learning; pray that they would be hiding God’s Word in their hearts so that they’ll have it someday when they need it.
Lakeview Elementary (Fremont/Hay) – Cora Johnson & Renee Hathaway – 2:30 p.m. Pray for someone willing and committed to become the teacher of this club. Please pray for good health for both children and teachers, and for more children to attend. Keep Cora in prayer for safe travel as she continues to drive over to Lakeview until a teacher is found.
Sprague River – Lee Dickerson – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Friday:
Keno Elementary – Doug Hallock – 3:15 p.m. Praise God for 25 kids who have made Keno GNC a regular part of their week, and for parents who encourage them in that! Pray that we leaders would love them well, and that we’d teach God’s word well, and that we’d continue to have a gracious welcome with the Keno Elementary staff.
And:
Pam Kirby asks for prayer for Mercia and her brother (bad family situation); Justin, the boy who had swine flue and meningitis, ended up in Portland, and is having surgery today; traveling mercies; and for her mom and dad.
