Good News Club Prayer Requests March 30, 2010
Monday:
Training Classes – Klamath Falls @ Immanuel Baptist — 10:00 a.m.
Praise for those who are able to attend the Teacher Training class — it’s a blessing, both to be there and to see the others who faithfully come. It was good to see Doug there yesterday! Keep our teachers (Rae and Mona) in prayer, too, please.
Teaching Children Effectively 1 – Klamath Falls @ Immanuel Baptist – 1:00 pm -3:00 pm Cora taught more on teaching the Bible lesson, and on using Biblical songs as teaching tools.
IYS Youth Center — Kathy Hampson — 3:30 p.m. Pray for the Lord to draw more children. And please pray for Kathy’s health.
Tuesday:
Merrill Elementary – Gordon & Terry Aguiar – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Please pray for our 6th graders: Juan’s salvation; Jose’ has received Jesus but please pray that he would be making choices to read his Bible, pray, and go to church. Kallie — please pray that she might also go to church. Please pray for Manuel, that he would surrender his life to grow in the Lord. Pray for healing for Terry’s back.
Sandi Masterson’s Home — Sandi Masterson — 4:00-5:30 pm Pray that the children will be faithful to attend club, and will grow spiritually — one girl has said she wants to be a missionary. Pray for Sandi’s father, who is not well.
Stearns Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m. Praise the Lord that Jasmine and Sharice want to attend CYIA training this year (they are both twelve, so will attend the one-day training). Pray for Sharice, sister Elizabeth and brother Thomas, as they will be moving and will have to transfer to Peterson Elementary (pray that the Good News Club there will get up and running after Spring Break, as hoped, and pray that the three children will start attending church regularly).
Wednesday:
Bonanza Elementary – Laney Boersma – 11:15-Noon
Malin Elementary – Rae Arnold – 1:45-2:45 p.m.
Praise! One kindergartener and one first grader memorized John 8:12!
Mills Elementary — Kathy Hampson – 2:00p.m.
Praise for several new children attending the Club!
Nazarene Church — Cora Johnson — 7:00 p.m. Pray for a core of teachers for the Wednesday evening children’s program as they transition from the leaders who are leaving. Pray for the many unchurched children who are attending.
Thursday:
Bly (Gearhart) – Mona Boggs – 11:30-12:15 p.m. Mona has been encouraging the children to share the Wordless Book with friends and family; please pray that they will have the courage to do this and that the Holy Spirit would give fruit! Pray for spiritual growth for the children. Pray for Anna, that she’d be able to go to the CYIA One-Day training. Pray for Sarah, who is Mormon, that God would teach her heart. Pray for Cody, who has prayed to accept the Lord as Savior, that he would hear God’s Word and grow in Him — he is wiggly and not focused. Pray for Mona, for discernment in how to wisely spend her time, and in how to have quality time with the Lord. Pray for healing for her leg, also. And please pray for more teachers.
Bonanza — Laney Boersma — 11:15-Noon
Chiloquin Elementary – Sandi Masterson – 3:00 p.m. Pray for spiritual growth in the children, and for salvation for their families. Thanks for several new children attending; pray for the household of McKenzie and Madisen. Pray that the light of Jesus Christ would shine through the darkness.
Fairview Elementary – Kathleen Sanderson – 2:45 p.m.
Praise for a new boy, Chase, attending, and pray that Destiny, who asked for a permission slip, will be there this week.
Lakeview Elementary (Fremont/Hay) – Cora Johnson & Renee Hathaway – 2:30 p.m. Praise for new helpers at Lakeview, Candi and her sister! Keep Cora in prayer, as she still has to travel to Lakeview frequently – pray for safe travel for her. Pray for Renee and her family.
Sprague River – Gale Willis, Mike Perdue, Lee Dickerson – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Pray for Drew, who just received Jesus as Savior, that he would desire to grow in the Lord. Pray for Daniel and his family. Pray for peace in the children’s hearts; that they would each have a desire to serve Jesus; and for their continued spiritual growth; for salvation for the parents; and please pray for good health for everyone.
Friday:
Keno Elementary – Doug Hallock – 3:15 p.m. The Keno club is in need of some more helpers. There is still a large group of children attending the club, but the helpers have been slowly drifting away.
Keno Christian Church (the primary sponsor of Keno’s GNC) is having a pastor resign, which means that changes may be afoot for the Keno club. Nothing drastic, it appears, and nothing sudden. Pray for the Keno CC leaders and the GNC leaders that we’d continue to minister to the Keno Elementary community!
